Building the infrastructure of tomorrow with sustainable and innovative engineering solutions
Department of Construction Engineering and Management
The Department of Construction Engineering and Management at SVHEC is dedicated to creating innovative infrastructure solutions and sustainable development practices. We prepare students to become competent civil engineers who can design, build, and maintain the infrastructure that supports our modern society.
About the Department
The Department of Construction Engineering and Management has one UG Program (B.E. Civil Engineering established in 2010) and a PG program (M.E. Construction Engineering and Management established in 2014). Our team of faculty provides the right academic atmosphere for students to develop into complete Construction Engineers with aptitude for research. Students are moulded to meet industry requirements through industry-based curriculum, internships, extramural activities, Project Based Learning, outside class hours learning, skill-centric learning, and Mini Projects. The department has well-established laboratories with modern testing equipment, structural analysis tools, and project management software to provide practical exposure to students. Quality of students and their achievements in curricular and co-curricular activities have branded our department as a leading Centre for construction education. All graduates find excellent placements in construction companies, infrastructure firms, real estate developers, and government organizations.
